Dr. Mark Carrington was born in Barbados. West Indies, in 1943, he was one of seven children. Dr. Carrington came to know the Lord as his savior and friend in August 1969. During that year, he was water baptized, filled with the Holy Spirit, and married Lady R. Carrington, his wife of now 55 years.

Dr. Carrington was a faithful member of The Pentecostal House of Prayer in St. Michael. Barbados, where he served on the worship team, was the designated van driver and performed many duties when asked of him as unto the Lord.

In 1971 Dr. Carrington migrated to the U.S.A,  where he continued membership at The Pentecostal House of Prayer headquarters church in New York, New York. In November, Dr. Carrington moved to Brooklyn, New York, to assist Rev B. Medford in starting and incorporating the National Church of Brooklyn Inc.

In 1978 Dr. Carrington was ordained as a minister at the headquarters of the National Church of God in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Bishop J.B Ferguson. In 1979 he was assigned State Overseer of the New York area. Realizing the need for education, Dr. Carrington registered with New York City University's Medgar Evers College in 1979 and graduated with honors in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. 

In 1982 Dr. Carrington was appointed by The Board of National Church of God of Brooklyn Inc as Pastor. In 1983 seeing the need for biblical education, he registered at The United Christian College and graduated in 1986 earned a Master of Theology and a conferred Doctorate of Sacred Theology. In 1989 Dr. Carrington left his job at the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) to start construction of the National Church of God on Saratoga Avenue in Brooklyn, N.Y.

 In 1991 Dr. Carrington re entered the workforce with The N.Y.C Fire Dept of Juvenile Justice. As a youth counselor.  In 1993 he transferred to the N.Y.C Fire Dept as an inspector. In 2009 Dr. Carrington retired from the NYFD. As a supervising Inspector.
